Frequently asked questions
Wear something comfortable with closed-toed shoes! Avoid flowy clothes and heels. This is an active class and there will be a lot of moving and standing. We would hate for anyone to get a sleeve caught on a baking rack or drop a pan on their flip-flop-clad feet.
And if you have long hair, please pull it back with a hair band (no one wants hair in their food)!
While it depends on the class, most classes will have you working closely with a partner. You and your partner will share a fully stocked workstation and will weigh out ingredients together, share a hot plate and saucepan, and create some components together, everyone will leave the class with their own personal item or items.
If the class is classified as a "Dinner" class where you will be eating a full meal during the class, there will be components you work on individually, with your partner, and components you work on with everyone in the class (think "divide and conquer"). This is common of our pasta classes, where you will make your own pasta and your own sauce, but the class will team up to make a group dessert or bread to complete the dinner.
Oh no!! We are so sorry to hear that! We understand life happens. Please email us and let us know what's going on. If it is more than 72 hours before the start of the class, we will do our best to reschedule you for a date that you can attend or get you a partial refund.
Unfortunately, if you email us less that 72 hours before the start of the class, as per our cancellation policy, we cannot offer a refund or reschedule. Ingredients have already been purchased, and money has been spent to prepare your workstation for you and can no longer be booked by another.
We totally get that- our Chefs have allergies too. If you have an allergy that you are concerned about, please email us before or when you sign up for a class so we can discuss the ingredients used in each recipe and decide if the kitchen will be a safe place for you.
Because of the nature of a teaching classroom, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. By entering the kitchen, you will be taking responsibility for your own allergies.
