MENU: "East to Queast" Scones (served with Clotted Cream and the Red Queen's Jam) Absolom's Cucumber Tea Sandwiches Chesire Shrewsbury Biscuits (Buttery Tea Cookies) *Served with Coffee and Tea DATE: August 8th (2 - 4:30 pm) Class Description: Step through the looking glass and join us for a whimsical literary brunch inspired by the beloved world of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland! This special cooking class is presented in collaboration with The Copper Fox Bookstore, bringing together the joy of books and the pleasure of good food for a truly memorable experience. Inspired by the curious characters and charming tea parties of Wonderland, you'll create a delightful menu fit for the Mad Hatter himself. Learn to bake "East to Queast" scones, served with rich clotted cream and the Red Queen's jam, prepare delicate cucumber sourdough sandwiches inspired by Absalom, and bake Cheshire Shrewsbury biscuits—classic buttery tea cookies perfect alongside a cup of tea. As a special touch, guests will have the opportunity to add a copy of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland to their purchase through The Copper Fox Bookstore when registering! Whether you're a devoted reader, an avid home cook, or simply looking for a unique afternoon out, this enchanting collaboration celebrates the magic that happens when great stories and great food come together. What to Expect: You will work in pairs sharing a workstation and some equipment in a fun, hands-on environment led by our Le Cordon Bleu Paris trained Chef. Each class includes 2-hours of professional cooking/baking instructions, ingredients, take-home recipe cards, and a copy of the featured book (optional). Dress Code: Please wear comfortable, close-toed shoes (chairs are provided but there will be a lot of standing). Please avoid flowy clothing and tie back any long hair. * Participants are responsible for managing their own food allergies; L'Atelier recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please contact us before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class, and we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. ** The Chef retains the right to alter recipes without notice in the case of seasonal changes or ingredient shortages *** Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
