Class Description

MENU: Traditional German Egg Pasta (spätzle/spaetzle) with a Mushroom Gravy (Jägersoße) Christmas-style Cucumber & Dill Salad Almond Cresent Butter Cookies (Kipferls) (Served with fresh Sourdough and a complimentary glass of wine) DATE: June 27th (Saturday, 4 - 7pm) Class Description: Discover the hearty, comforting flavors of Germany in this hands-on pasta-making class inspired by traditional German home cooking! From the cozy kitchens of Bavaria to your table here in the Appalachians, German cuisine blends rustic warmth with satisfying depth. In this regional-themed class, you’ll make tender Spätzle from scratch, simmer a rich mushroom and beef gravy with locally foraged mushrooms (if they are in season! If not, we will use mushrooms from the local farm; Ellijay Mushrooms), prepare a refreshing cucumber and dill salad, and bake buttery Almond Crescent Cookies (Kipferls). Fresh sourdough bakes during class, and everything is served with a complimentary glass of wine—perfect for a true German-style feast. What to Expect: You will work in pairs sharing a workstation and some equipment in a fun, hands-on environment led by our Le Cordon Bleu Paris trained Chef. Each class includes 3-hours of professional cooking/baking instructions, basic kitchen safety, ingredients, take-home recipe cards, and a complimentary wine pairing. What am I taking home? Since this is a Friday Night Dinner Class, we will be eating the fruits of our labors fresh from the oven, but you will be leaving with your leftover Strudel, any leftover pasta, your recipe cards, and a smile! Dress Code: Please wear comfortable, close-toed shoes (chairs are provided but there will be a lot of standing). Please avoid flowy clothing and tie back any long hair. * Participants are responsible for managing their own food allergies; L'Atelier recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please contact us before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class, and we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. ** The Chef retains the right to alter recipes without notice in the case of seasonal changes or ingredient shortages *** Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.



Cancellation Policy

Reservations are non-refundable within 72 hours of scheduled time. Please arrive on time. The class will begin on time, with or without the full party in attendance.
