Class Description

MENU: Handmade Cavatelli Pasta with Traditional Sicilian Tomato Pesto Kalamata Olive Focaccia Ricotta Cannoli garnished with Chocolate Chips and/or Pistachios (Served with a complimentary glass of wine) DATE: May 30th (Saturday 11 - 2pm) Class Description: Discover the vibrant flavors of Sicily in this hands-on pasta-making class inspired by the sunny, bold cuisine of southern Italy! Nestled in the heart of the Mediterranean, Sicily is celebrated for its lively culinary traditions that blend Italian passion with North African and Greek influences. In this cozy, regional-themed class, you’ll learn to make tender handmade cavatelli pasta from scratch, prepare a fresh traditional Sicilian tomato pesto, and bake golden Kalamata olive focaccia. For dessert, you’ll fill crisp cannoli shells with creamy ricotta, garnished with chocolate chips or pistachios. As a special touch, everything will be served with a complimentary glass of Italian wine—perfect for a true Sicilian-style feast. What to Expect: You will work in pairs sharing a workstation and some equipment in a fun, hands-on environment led by our Le Cordon Bleu Paris trained Chef. Each class includes 3-hours of professional cooking/baking instructions, basic kitchen safety, ingredients, take-home recipe cards, and a complimentary wine pairing. What am I taking home? Since this is a Lunch Class, we will be eating the fruits of our labors fresh from the oven (or the pot!), but you will be leaving with your leftovers, your take-home recipe cards, and a smile! Dress Code: Please wear comfortable, close-toed shoes (chairs are provided but there will be a lot of standing). Please avoid flowy clothing and tie back any long hair. * Participants are responsible for managing their own food allergies; L'Atelier recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please contact us before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class, and we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. ** The Chef retains the right to alter recipes without notice in the case of seasonal changes or ingredient shortages *** Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
